PROVENANCE: Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy Q.405.129 no.1 with several ownership inscriptions on a1recto: that of the charterhouse library in Gaming, Austria ("Carthusiae Gemnicensis"); a partially erased inscription from an unidentified Capuchin house ("... loci capucinorum [erased]"); and "Liber dom[us] Fra[tru]m[?] b. marie In Gēnico[?]" Early hand-colored woodcut laid-on to front pastedown depicting the martyrdom of St. Francis. Purchased from William H. Schab in May, 1940.
