William Lloyd Garrison mentions Caroline Weston's purchase of William C. Nell's set of the Liberator. He discusses Mr. Sprague's skepticism concerning the photograph of William Lloyd Garrison showing the "spirit likeness" of Charles Sumner. The presence of Mrs. Currier, the medium, has caused "rappings and violent agitations of the table" at meal times. Garrison communicated with the late Richard Davis Webb at a sitting with Mrs. Hardy, another medium. Garrison called on Charlotte Anthony and found that her lameness was not serious. Garrison writes: "I am pleased to hear of Anne Weston's arrival home, with Mrs. Dicey, and will send her a congratulatory letter."
