The document was written on May 10th by committee-man John Cutter. It is a notice requiring the constable of the northwest precinct of Cambridge, Ebenezer Swan Jr., to notify freeholders and inhabitants of the area, who are qualified to vote, to attend a town meeting. The meeting would take place at the school house on May 15th at 3pm. The tasks required for the meeting were numbered 1-5. The first task was to grant money to support preaching in the precinct the following year; the second was to hear a report from a committee appointed on September 17, 1733; the third was to grant money for another cause (illegible); the fourth was to appoint someone suitable to take care of the contribution of money; the fifth was to hear the late treasurer's account of the donations given for building(?) their meeting house. A response was required on or before the date for the meeting. The reverse contains a short response from Ebenezer Swan Jr. that he has notified the proper parties. Dated May 15th.
