The document was written on February 27th by committee-man John Cutter. It is a notice requiring the constable of the northwest precinct of Cambridge, Daniel Russell, to notify freeholders and inhabitants of the area as well as those of Charlestown, who are qualified to vote, to attend a town meeting. The meeting would take place at the meetinghouse on March 12th at 2pm. The tasks required for the meeting (numbered 1-3) were to choose precinct officers for the following year; to increase Reverend Samuel Cooke's salary; and to grant a sum of money to cover charges arising in the precinct. A response was required on or before the date for the meeting. The reverse contains a short response from Daniel Russell that he has notified the proper parties. Dated March 12th.
