Katherine writes to her sister Janet thanking her for sending two letters. She praises Janet's letters, but scolds her for not writing enough about two-month old Anne. Katherine writes about clothing that she has sent for Connie, and other items she has made for Junie. She and Kennie drove up to Tenafly to see some new houses that have been built. One is set up as a model for people to look at. Katherine writes about the amenities and the cost to buy one of the houses. She and Kennie were interrupted earlier in the evening by a couple of insurance salesmen which severely delayed her letter writing. Junie has been stubborn about what she will eat, so they had to talk to the doctor. Katherine is not enjoying the struggle that has begun over food. They also talked to the doctor because Junie's eyes seemed to be crossed. He thought it was a muscular weakness and sent them to see an oculist. He also recommended having her tonsils removed. Katherine wants to go clothes shopping in New York but is having trouble finding clothes that look good because she needs to loose some weight. She went to see Whipsaw but did not like it or Spencer Tracy. She heard from June that Petticoat Fever was cute.
