Fritz Scheel (1852-1907) was a German conductor. He was already a concertmaster by the age of 17 and he conducted the Trocadero Orchestra at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. After this, he conducted concerts in San Francisco between 1894 and 1897. He was the first musical director of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
