Ankylosaurus Under Construction Perhaps the most detailed of the nine fibreglass dinosaurs made for Sinclair's dinosaur exhibit was the ankylosaurus. Following precise sketches and models, sculptor Louis Paul Jonas photographed the last model, enlarged it ten times, and traced the outline on wallboard. Skeleton was made of Plywood and wire cloth; basic clay skin was shaped to every detail, the used to make plaster mold into which fibreglass was laid to harden. "Incisions" had to be made to assist in mounting for travel, and, in some cases, to break into transportable parts.
