Text from item: Dramatis personae of the war. 2. The Hospital Nurse. The wounded soldier--an all-too-familiar figure-- comes out into the light, leaving his jagged impressions behind him. The mingled look of resignation and hope on his face tell of the bad time he has been through, and of the good heart within. The hospital sister is one of the few who has been the recipient of the King's medal, and, at the military hospital where she works, has nursed hundreds of our pain-wracked heroes back to health. The clenched hands tell their tale as she looks out at the constantly broken circle of life.
