Holograph, signed.
In this letter, William Lloyd Garrison introduces his abolitionist friend Joshua Coffin. The Liberator is causing "extraordinary movements" among whites in the slave states. Garrison writes: "I am constantly receiving anonymous letters, filled with abominable and bloody sentiments. These trouble me less than the wind. I never was so happy and confident in my mind as at the present time."
