Modern arabic pencil foliation, upper outer corner of each recto, skips fol. 23, so reaches "24" at fol. 25.
Layout: Two columns, 24 lines. Bounding and writing lines in blind.
Script: Written in a southern gothic textualis formata in brown ink with red rubrics.
Decoration: Three-line chapter initials in red or blue with blue and red filigree throughout. Full-page illsutration of St. Clare, fol. 2v, with heavy, ca. 19th-century overpainting: St. Clare enthroned against a blue background sprinkled with golden stars; above, St. Francis as an angel flanked by two angels, bearing a crown presumably intended for Clare; kneeling at her feet on either side, a group of Poor Clares; acanthus border in outer and lower margins, a few flowers in upper and inner margins.
Binding: Original blind-fillet calf over boards with early brass bosses, some floral tooling extant, lacking clasps, spine repaired.
