Letter from W. B. Trish, New Lisbon, to William Lloyd Garrison, 4th Mo. [April] 25th 1845
Description:
W.B. Trish writes to William Lloyd Garrison extending him the invitation to lecture in New Lisbon. Trish proceeds to criticize former "friends of the cause", George Bradburn and N.P. Rogers, the latter of which Trish states intends to found a new "Herald of Freedom", which he pledges to abstain from reading. Trish compares and contrasts the political tendencies in the abolitionist movement East and West, particularly in regards to the "women's rights question".
