Letter from Samuel May, Jr., Leicester [Mass.], to William Lloyd Garrison, Aug. 13 / [18]67
Description:
Samuel May Jr. says to William Lloyd Garrison (Junior) that neither he nor his brother needs to testify at court in relation to the bequeathal of Francis Jackson’s estate. Having their father’s letter written to May himself published would suffice. May mentions a rumour related by Anna Dickson that William Lloyd Garrison (Senior) made his mind to “fully agree to the decision” and wrote a letter to the Master of Chancery on his way to Paris, which May and his associates do not believe.
