Letter from Parker Pillsbury, Concord, N[ew] H[ampshire], to Samuel May, 1850 June 12th
Description:
Parker Pillsbury writes to Samuel May discussing proposed meetings for the summer and whether he can attend them. He tells May that he "should like a meeting every Saturday evening and Sunday, with yourself or some one else, until the first of August." He would prefer to lecture in Essex and Middlesex counties in Massachusetts as those are nearest to his home. Pillsbury also suggests that in the autumn, meetings should be held in Merrimack and Hillsbourough counties in New Hampshire, reporting that people in these towns have asked him "if we mean to pass them by altogether." He also tells May that he would prefer "not to go to Ohio" but promised a tour of "eight or nine weeks at the west." Pillsbury states, "Indeed, there are more places in the Eastern Counties, than we can fill in the two months."
