Description:
M[oses] Grant writes to Caroline Weston in regards to receiving her circular on the anti-slavery fair. She discusses the imprisonment of Laturer. She writes about her respect for the anti-slavery cause and feeling at home among the temperance cause. She writes, "I have pledged to the cause for life. My time, money, & other means of aiding the Temp[erance] reform, have my first claims yet I can assure you I am not indifferent to the claims of your noble object. I can not take an active part in its operation, other duties occupy all my time." She discusses the Paper of the [Liberty] 'Bell" as well as remarks Caroline made about those who adhere to both the temperance and anti-slavery cause.
