Letter from Richard Davis Webb, Dublin, [Ireland], to William Lloyd Garrison, 1853 October 10th
Description:
Richard Davis Webb writes to William Lloyd Garrison informing him that "the bearer of 'these' is your correspondent and my friend George Sunter". Webb says he has "a very great respect and regard for him" and assures Garrison that "you will like him as we do". He then goes on to describe Sunter as "not only highly intelligent and truly refined, but warmly devoted to the promotion of all philanthropic objects." Before ending the letter, Webb also mentions two letters he received from Mary A. Estlin and her aunt, Mrs. Mitchell. In the postscript, he mentions another letter he received describing the sudden return of a friend due to health issues.
