Letter from Arthur Robinson, Memphis, [Tennessee], to William Lloyd Garrison, 1853 November 21
Description:
In this letter to William Lloyd Garrison, Arthur Robinson requests to be a subscriber to the Liberator and asks Garrison how to send him the money and "in what manner can I serve you in this city?" Robinson identifies himself as "a believer in what the bible purports to be - the Confession of faith ..." and "hope[s] the Liberator does not, nor will, disseminate infidel opinions." Robinson then asks Garrison about some resolutions Garrison offered at a bible convention, asking him if he believes in "the New [Testa]ment account of Jesus Christ ...[?]" Robinson signs the letter, "Arthur Robinson Printer.
