A long building with open arcades on both sides, divided into two by a row of pillars which support a flat roof; at the far end is a doorway with pointed arch. Fish lie on slanting slabs, near which a number of buyers and sellers are standing. The roof, colonnade, and arcade on the left are approximately finished, but the foreground and right hand portion of the building are left light, and the majority of the figures are in outline.
