A small river winds through a valley to the sea. In front of a cliff to the left a breakwater projects into the sea, protecting a small harbour in which a sailing vessel is at anchor. The line enclosing the landscape has been continued to enclose the inscription arid a white space beneath it. The lettering is still partly open; the second arm of the X, for Instance, is formed of two distinct lines with a space between them.
