William Whiting of Holyoke purchased the Collins Manufacturing Company on the Chicopee River in Wilbraham in 1886. After the mill was destroyed by fire, he built this large brick mill in its place. Sometimes known as Whiting Paper Mill #3. Utility poles in the foreground appear to be under construction. Also shown in wp_340.
