Eighteenth Century Yankee Clippers have changed to United Mainliner 300s, shown in the picture, but the light built upon a rock two leagues from town still serves its purpose as a land marker for pilots bringing their ships to Logan Airport. The light once served a dual role as a lookout station for enemy vessels.
