Additional information accompanying item: Old Ironsides turned around at the Charlestown Navy Yard. 6/11/68. Ironsides gets push around -- American flag flying from the fantail of another vessel salutes the USS Constitution as Old Ironsides goes to sea once more. One tug pulling at its bow, and another nudging it gently at its side guide the Constitution along Castle Island to a point in Boston Harbor, and then back to Charlestown Naval Shipyard. The annual turnaround is conducted so the ship will weather evenly at its dock, where it is visited by 400,000 persons a year. The Constitution is the oldest commissioned warship still afloat.
