From a series of audio recordings with members of Boston's Black community about the busing crisis of the late 1970s and early 1980s. As coordinator of the Community District Advisory Council of the Boston Public Schools and director of the Project to Monitor the Code of Discipline, Pola was a key figure in overseeing bilingual education initiatives in Boston schools during the 1970s and 1980s.
