This glass negative shows students participating in the Middler’s Parade. “Middler” was a term used to describe the middle graduating class when Springfield College was a three-year program. All the students pictured here are part of the class of 1904. The dog pictured is Brownie; she belonged to Dr. Frank N. Seerley. Although there’s no mention of the Middler’s Parade in The Association Seminar, it could have been a part of the Middler Banquet, an annual event held early in the spring semester at Woods Hall. The men's hockey team stands on the left half of the parade with their sticks.
