Includes reports of the chairman, president, guidance program, teacher education department, research department, and development program. The Clarke School is a leader in the field of oral education of the deaf through it's teacher training program, Summer Institute, and research activities. One hundred and ten teachers attended the Summer Institute this year. Twenty-seven of the teachers teach African American deaf children in southern states and were supported by the Department of Labor. The Clarence V. Hudgins Diagnostic and Research Center was established. Dr. Philip A. Bellefleur visited colleagues in Europe. To mark the 100th anniversary of the Clarke School and the Lexington School for the Deaf, the International Conference on Oral Education of the Deaf will be held in June 1967 at both schools.
