Surface: crowned 4 in., fairly hard, with a little gravel and coal ashes material: gravel and coal ashes on rubble stone foundation sides: right, grass embankment slopes down natural slope, left, grass embankment slopes down into gutter then up gutters: right, natural slope, left, 15 in. deep sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: Picture taken just after a rain, so road is soft. Material like sample 115. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
