Skinning sheep after the sacrifice on the Georgian Military Highway
Description:
The skinning of the sheep after the sacrifice was all done on the road itself. I believe this was a weekend so there was little traffic. The highway has always been vulnerable to mud slides. A lack of barriers and retaining walls could increase the risk of accident. One often saw small crosses by the roadside where a traffic death had occurred. It was often the result of a car going over the side.
