The document was written on February 26th by committee-man John Cutter. It is a notice requiring the constable of the northwest precinct of Cambridge, Josiah Shattuck, to notify freeholders and inhabitants of the area, who are qualified to vote, to attend a town meeting. The meeting would take place at the meetinghouse on March 16th at 1pm. The tasks required for the meeting were (numbered 1-4) to elect and choose precinct officers for the following year; to hear a motion from inhabitants to remove seats and replace them with pews in the meetinghouse; to hear a motion to grant money for Reverend Mr. Cooke's salary; and to grant a sum of money to cover charges arising in the precinct. A response was required on or before the date for the meeting. The reverse contains a short response from Josiah Shattuck that he has notified the proper parties. Dated March 16th.
