Phil tells Harry that he has arrived safely overseas and is currently "somewhere in England." He wasn't seasick on the voyage over, although the weather did get rough at times. He's heard a lot about the delightful English climate, but it's been damp and foggy the whole time so far and he hasn't seen four hours of sunshine. He hasn't figured out English money yet so every time he has to go buy something he takes Francis with him. He wants Harry to talk to Burt Stebbins and see if he can find a small book on rafter cuts to mail to him, since he wants to brush up on that. He tells Harry that if anyone wants to send anything, send cigarettes because American ones are scarce and all of them are expensive.
