Notes by Edward Hitchcock discussing Claudius Buchanan's life and his experiences doing missionay work on tours through India and Ceylon [known today as Sri Lanka]. Hitchcock writes that Buchanan's life demonstrates the wisdom of God as well as the success of the missionary cause. Throughout the notes Hitchcock refers to specific pages of some of Buchanan's writings, and has noted on the final page that he presented this information on February 2, 1834 "in College."
