A letter to Edward Hitchcock, Jr., in which Edward Hitchcock discusses an upcoming trip to Boston and asks his son to do some errands for him in preparation for the trip. He notes that an illness may prevent him from going and therefore asks Hitchcock, Jr. to pass along that information to Dr. Jacob Bigelow.
