Silver porringer (a shallow bowl with a flat handle), said to be early 19th century American. The bowl has a short, wide base that is slightly convex. It is short with a very wide neck and a thin rim. The handle is almost as wide as it is long, although it tapers inwards as it moves away from the body. It is also very thin. There are no decorations on the body of the bowl. The handle has a symmetrical scrolled design, made by removing large parts of the metal.
