Materials in this collection were reproduced during Boston Public Library Community Scanning Day events. At these events, patrons are invited to bring two-dimensional items to be digitized by library staff, with the option, though no obligation, to make these materials publicly accessible on Digital Commonwealth. These events are part of BPL's Mobile Memory Lab initiative, a collaboration between Community History and Digital & Online Services, made possible with generous support from the Mayor's Office of New Urban Mechanics, and drawing inspiration from UMass Boston's Roadmap for Participatory Archiving (RoPA).
