Building: Stearns School
Designed by the architectural firm Ripley & Russell, the Stearns School was built in 1907 at 44 Jasset Street. Along with the elementary school, the building housed the Nonantum branch library and the Stearns School Centre, a social welfare agency that offered adult evening classes, health clinics, and vacation programs. The Stearns School was demolished in the 1970s. The site is now part of Stearns Park in Nonantum.
