  <mods:abstract>Helen Keller conversing with benefactor, Alexander Graham Bell. Keller called Graham Bell her oldest friend. In the summer of 1886 the Kellers had taken Helen to see Dr. Bell. It was Dr. Bell who suggested to Mrs. Keller that she write to Michael Anagnos, head of the Perkins Institution in Boston, about the possibility of getting a teacher for Helen.</mods:abstract>
