<mods:note>Reverend Lyman Gilbert was the pastor of the 2nd Church in West Newton, Mass., for nearly 22 years. He was the son of Elam Gilbert and Susannah Ray. His first wife was Eugenia Stowe, with whom he had Eugenia Stowe Gilbert in 1830. Eugenia Gilbert was the second wife Henry B. Williams, son of David and Cynthia Williams. They had a daughter Marion Eugenia Williams. Lyman Gilbert's second wife was Marion Jackson, daughter of William Jackson and his first wife Hannah Woodward. Together they had William Jackson Gilbert, Sarah Davis Gilbert, and Mary Lavinia Gilbert. The photograph could possibly be of Sarah or Mary.</mods:note>
