The author and date of the following information is unknown. In pencil is written "Doran place torn down '75." But this is most likely the current building commonly known as Mapleview. In On back: This house was built about the time the Railroad was built, and it was owned by Jonathan Nash, who kept a store for the benefit of the railroad men. The place was then sold to Charles Bartlett, who sold it to Merril D. Huggins. A store was kept here during all these years. John M. Crane bought the house in 1859, and the store was then discontinued. He sold it to Ezra Warner in 1883. He sold it to Carl Peer, who used it as a summer hotel. The present owner, Conrad Fischer, occupies it as a summer hotel.
