<mods:abstract>A figure of a winged and clothed woman surrounded by radiating light descends toward the tomb of Delacroix. In her left hand she holds a palm and from her other hand she drops flowers. On the right, we can see the Paris skyline, from the vantage point of Père-Lachaise. On the grave is engraved the name of Delacroix.</mods:abstract>

A proof of this, retouched and enhanced in gouache, was reproduced in "l'Artiste" of Oct. 1892, accompanying the preface of M. Flat to "les Memoires de Delacroix." This impression, signed, is of the reproduction in the magazine "L'Artiste," issue of Oct. 1892.</mods:note>
