<mods:abstract>A composition of five figures. Three figures are seated in the middle and form a group. The nearest figure, seen from behind, is dressed in dark draperies. The other figures in the group are dressed in light draperies. Separate from them, on the right is the fourth figure, also dressed and seated and there is a dog at her feet. Just to the left, on the other side of the creek, the fifth figure advances and she is completely naked. They are surrounded by shade and bushes and there is a clearing and light in the middle.</mods:abstract>

<mods:note>Additional information accompanying item: Margins not rectified. Signature below, to the right - "Fantin." Second state - the border in crayon has almost disappeared, and the margins have been cleaned up. The entire plate has been reworked, especially the naked figure. The accidental vertical streaks on the right have been lessened. This impression cancelled as proof of the edition, before the destruction of the stone.</mods:note>
