<mods:abstract>Elizabeth Buffum Chace writes to Samuel May stating that the date of September 29th "will suit us" for the proposed convention, and they have reserved a hall for the day. She tells May, "[William Lloyd] Garrison we want by all means. He has never been here and would call out more people than any one else." Chace leaves it to May to chose who should accompany Garrison, but says that they would like Lucy Stone to come if possible, and May himself, as well. Chace thinks "the Conventions are producing more manifest results than every before," and in the postscript, she states that weekdays "would not answer at all here, when the people are mostly employed in the factories."</mods:abstract>
