<mods:abstract>Maria F. Price writes to Maria Weston Chapman about reading her book "Right and Wrong in Massachusetts" in the Liberator and she is now converted to the cause that Garrison and the old Massachusetts anti-slavery society. She writes, "I would sooner cut off my right hand or pluck out my right eye than be a 'member' of the new organization or throw what little influence I have on that ride." She finds that there are ministers who say that Garrison is an "infidel" and is trying to "destroy the ministry." She writes that she is "considerably excited for those colored people in Canada and their teachers" under the care of Mr. Hiram Wilson. She wishes to learn more about these schools.</mods:abstract>
