This episode consists of three segments. The first segment, "Earth, Wind and Fire," focuses on Soldier's Delight, a special natural environment area protected because of its rare prairie-like ecosystem (various species found in Soldier's Delight are also addressed). The second segment, "Home Again," focuses on a new training program in Maryland designed to help handicapped vets once more enjoy the outdoors in ways they remember before being severely injured in Iraq. The third segment, "Mountain Steam," focuses on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. Outdoors Maryland is a magazine featuring segments on nature and the outdoors in Maryland.
