Six people appeared before a State House committee on urban affairs in support of bills to open public housing to people with physical disabilities. One of these people, Timothy Foley, a member of the Massachusetts Association of Paraplegics, said that there is no low-income housing for people with disabilities. Jane Welsh of the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission and Marilyn Abrams of the Easter Seal Society of Massachusetts also spoke in support of the bills.
