A five-pointed star marks the grave of a Communist Party member and his family; the elaborateness of the gravesite is linked to the family's economic means (see mufs001-rb-i1644 for contrast). Radovan Matijašević was chair of the Communist Party committee when Halpern first visited Orašac in 1953-54. He subsequently moved to Aranđjelovac but has retained his gravesite in his natal village.
