  <mods:abstract>Letter from Joel and Barbara Halpern to his parents describing the wedding of the princess of the Laotioan royal family. The letter describes much of the ceremony as well as detailing all the various consular dignitaries from various nations. Attendees included ambassadors from the United States, Great Britain, France, India, Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar (described as Burma in this letter). Also were the USOM mission in Vientaine and film crews from the USIS in Laos. The letter describes the ceremony and the soiree that occurred afterwards celebrating the meeting.</mods:abstract>
