'These are my mother's parents; my grandparents. I don't remember much about them because I was an infant when they passed, but it seems like they night have been dressed up on a Sunday afternoon to go out for a ride, or maybe attend a church or special party. I do vaguely remember my grandpa's friendly smile. My grandfather worked in a cotton mill, which closed and moved to Keene, NH. He moved there to continue working there. My grandmother was a housewife. She was originally married to my grandfather's brother Charles. He was killed in WWI. She was pregnant, so my grandfather stepped up and married her. She gave birth to my Aunt Charlotte and then they went on to have three more children--James, Hazel (my mother) and Charles, named after her first husband.
