'Friends and neighbors at Palmer's Island for gatherings/picnics. Family members get together--a special time! We took a rowboat out to the island--brought folks in groups, and brought food the same way. Marian Lawrence made the food baskets. They'd make a tent. They did this for a few summers. Mary (contributor) was around 6 years old. The water came over a big rock, and the kids would jump off of the rock. Pictured, from back to front, left to right: (back row) Johnny Machado, Richard Lawrence, Eddie Foster, Jack Brett, unidentified (with dog), (middle row) unidentified, unidentified, my sister Cyndy Adriano, Vina Machedo, my mother Marian Lawrence, 'Blackie' the dog, (front row) myself Mary Lawrence Tremblay and Anna Lawrence Correia. Location: Palmer's Island.'
