My father, Arthur C. Motta, on leave from Marines and visiting home
Description:
'My father was serving in the Pacific as a Staff Sergeant. He is standing at the corner of Brooktown and Vernon Streets, in the front yard of my grandfather's house. The sign describes the family business. They built many tenements for the mills in the North End. He was one of nine boys, and his father had died the year before. Pictured: Arthur C. Motta.'
