Report prepared for the City Planning Board of Boston by Adams, Howard and Greeley and Associated Consultants. The study was authorized by the City Planning Board on November 17, 1958 and describes a recommended general development plan for the Government Center project area, including proposed sites for public buildings, such as a new city hall, a new federal office building, and a new county courthouse, and the construction of new private buildings. A press release of a statement by Right Reverend Monsignor Francis J. Lally, Chairman of the Boston Redevelopment Authority, dated April 4, 1960 endorsing House bill no. 2962 for a new State Office Building, two copies of a map showing the general plan, and a bound copy of House bill 2962 is also filed with the documentation.
