Collection of 8 Christmas cards. B: Card is double sided, and each side has a picture of a branch with a large yellow flower. One side has pictures of bronze buttons in the upper right and bottom left corners, and the words "The Season's Greeting." in the bottom right. The other side has the buttons in the upper left and bottom right, with the words "Happy may your Christmas be." in the bottom left. Handwritten is "Beth Bowstina? 1885" The card has a dark red fringe around the edge. 5 x 3 3/8 in. C: In the center of the card is a drawing of a branch with blue, yellow, and red flowers. There is also a drawing of a yellow and red butterfly. Across the top is written "Merry Christmas." The card has a plain, tan background. The edges of the card are gilded and it has a white fringe. Copyright by Robinson Eng. Co., Boston, 1881. Handwritten on the back is "From Cad." 3 1/2 x 5 3/4 in. D: The card is two sided and is heavily glittered. Both sides have a picture of four birds, who appear to be peering out through some ice. On one side the birds are aranged in a circle, are all colored differently, and a pink dragonfly is in the middle. At the bottom are the words "Much Happiness at Christmas-time." The other side of the card has four yellow birds arranged in a semi circle, with a blue butterfly underneath them. The words at the bottom say "May your Christmas be one of peace." Handwritten at the top of the card is "Jamie 1885." The card has a bright red fringe around the edge. 3 1/2 x 5 in. E: The card is two sided. On one side is a colored drawing of a winter landscape, with a boat by a bare tree on the shore of a frozen river, and a church and some farmhouses in the background. The sky is yellow. There is also a one stanza poem entitled "Christmas" by E.H.C. On the reverse side is a drawing of some bells ringing under a brick arch, done in brown ink, along with the one stanza poem "Christmas Bells," also by E.H.C. Handwritten across the top is "Gracie Noble.", and in a different pen "From Mrs. Bray. 1885" 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 in. F: The card is two sheets of paper, folded in half and held together by a gold ribbon. On the cover is a black and white photo of a a city, captioned "Bethlehem." In the inside of the card is a pressed, red flower, captioned "Flowers of the Holy Land." Across from the flower are the words "Christmas Greetings and Best Wishes for the New Year," with the signature "Nella." On two of the blank pages is a letter from Nella to Sara. Much of the letter appears to be talking about various people they both known and where they are now. Published Vester & Company, Jerusalem, Palestine. 4 x 5 1/2 in, folded. 2 sheets. G: The card has a large, circular painting of two young girls. One of the girls is wearing a blue dress and a bonnet, and is sitting on some hay while holding a rabbit. The other girl is wearing a white dress, and is kneeling next to her. She has a string of flowers in her hands, and is offering them to the rabbit. On top and below the portrait are the words "My Christmas Wish. Love and Happiness be yours to day." Handwritten in pen on the back is "Grace With love and Best wishes for all from Aunt May." In pencil is written 1887. 4 3/8 x 4 3/8 in. H: In the center of the card is a darker grey rectangle, with the words "Wishing you a happy Christmas" on the left side, and a branch of small, light purple flowers on the right. Across the bottom of the card is "Old tunes are sweetest, and old friends are surest." The card has a light grey background, with a medium grey border. 3 5/8 x 4 7/8 in. I: Not in folder J: This card is a postcard, but has no stamp or postmark. Most of the card is dedicated to a short, inspirational Christmas poem. The card has a decorative border of pine branches, with a Christmas tree in each corner. The card has a handwritten message "May the best be yours Xmas and all through the New Year - S.B.W." 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 in.
