This plaque was given to Coach Frank Wolcott by the United States Gymnastics Federation in 1993 “for outstanding contributions to the success of the 1993 USGF Division II, National Collegiate Championships at Springfield College.”

Frank A. Wolcott (class of 1952) is a gymnastics coach at and alumnus of Springfield College. While a student, Wolcott was captain of the Springfield College gymnastics team and a two-time New England champion on the pommel horse and flying rings. He coached at his alma mater for twenty-six years, retiring in 1981. During this time, Springfield gymnasts placed in the top four at the NCAA Nationals eleven times, captured eight individual national titles, and received sixty-two All American awards.
